We are Back in Business with New Changes to Spa Procedures

Well, the spa has been open again for a week and we couldn’t be more pleased. It’s been great to see clients again (I missed you!) and to get back into the swing of things.

It’s no surprise that our spa procedures have had to change due to Covid-19. What’s most important for clients of Hands On Healing to understand is this:

The changes we’ve made keep everyone as safe as possible given the current information available about this hideous pandemic and how it spreads.

We fully anticipate that more changes to spa procedures are likely to be implemented as new information is learned and provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).  As new data is released, myself and the staff at Hands On Healing will evaluate how best to implement recommended changes into how things function at the spa.

For now, we know that the following procedures help to mitigate the spread of Covid-19.

• Washing Hands – Often and Thoroughly
• Wearing a Mask or other Face Covering (scarf or shield)
• Practicing Social Distancing by staying 6 ft apart or more whenever possible.

Think of these three processes as one, extremely effective tool that helps prevent the spread of Covid-19 . Each are important, and when used together, they provide the best-known defense of spreading Covid-19.  When in the spa, all three procedures are mandatory.

Over the past week, I (and all the staff at HOH) have been getting used to working with clients wearing masks and fine-tuning how we prepare our treatment rooms using our new sterilization procedures. These new procedures have necessitated having to space-out our scheduling of clients to accommodate cleaning and preparing our treatment rooms for our clients.

The net result of this one change means that we have fewer appointment slots available for bookings. This simply is something that cannot be avoided and it’s something everyone has to become accustom to, as we move forward. We ask that everyone please be patient and understanding. Doing so will make things easier and more pleasant for everyone.

Stay tuned, to stay informed, by returning to my website’s Home Page, to click the links to any new Covid-19 post updates I’ve added to my website. With that in mind, over the next couple of weeks, I will be posting additional information, on my website and to my Facebook page, that will further describe the new policies and changes to spa procedures that are now in effect at the spa.
